The CARDPRESSO XL to ID-ALL Expert trade-up is a licence for organizations that already own CARDPRESSO XL card design software. It moves you to ID-ALL Expert, the top edition of ID-ALL, which adds SQL and ODBC database connections, contact smart card and contactless RFID encoding, and fingerprint capture. Card designs made in CARDPRESSO open in ID-ALL, so existing templates do not need to be rebuilt.
Why move from CARDPRESSO to ID-ALL
ID-ALL is the successor to CARDPRESSO. Existing CARDPRESSO installations keep working with no time limit, but the last defect fixes end on September 30, 2027, and support services end on September 30, 2028. Compatibility with future operating systems is not guaranteed. The CARDPRESSO to ID-ALL trade-up program gives existing licence holders preferential pricing until September 30, 2028.
Who this trade-up is for
ID-ALL Expert is designed for large companies, universities and hospitals that produce cards in volume, run automated processes or monitor access activity. It suits CARDPRESSO XL users who already connect to an external database or encode smart cards and want to keep that capability on a supported platform.
What ID-ALL Expert includes
Databases. Expert connects to MySQL and PostgreSQL, and to other external databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle through ODBC. It also includes every connection in the lower editions: an unlimited internal database, Microsoft Excel, CSV and TXT files, Microsoft Access, SQLite and Google Sheets.
Encoding. Expert encodes contact smart cards and contactless RFID cards, including MIFARE Classic and MIFARE Ultralight (with NFC), using internal or external RFID encoders. It also supports 1D and 2D barcodes, QR codes and magnetic stripe encoding, which depends on the printer.
Design, printing and security. Expert adds fingerprint capture to the Advanced edition's signature capture, scripting, face cropping, background removal, multi-layout designs and conditional printing. Batch printing, automatic double-sided printing and overlay, UV and F-panel customization are included.
